Qiqi Group Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for Its Intelligent Garment Production Base

On January 4, the groundbreaking ceremony for Qiqi Group’s Intelligent Garment Production Base Project was successfully held in Xintang Town, Zengcheng District, Guangzhou.

The project marks an important step in Xintang Town’s efforts to promote the transformation and upgrading of its denim and textile apparel industry at the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. It also represents a significant example of how enterprises are expanding investment and production capacity to support the high-quality development of the regional garment industry.

Representatives from the Zengcheng Development Zone Enterprise Service Bureau, Zengcheng District Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Xintang Town Government, and other relevant departments attended the ceremony.

Building an Intelligent, Digitalized and Green Integrated Garment Industry Complex

The Qiqi Intelligent Garment Production Base is invested and developed by Guangzhou Lieyan Zhi Yu Textile & Garment Co., Ltd.

Located in Changxiang Village, Xintang Town, the project covers approximately 13.765 mu (about 9,177 square meters) and has a total planned floor area of approximately 60,000 square meters.

Integrating R&D and design, intelligent manufacturing, operational management, and employee living facilities, the project is designed to become a future-oriented integrated garment industry complex featuring intelligent manufacturing, digitalization, and green development.

According to the project plan, the new production base will introduce advanced equipment and manufacturing technologies to establish modern denim production lines and accelerate the transition toward automation, digitalization, and intelligent manufacturing.

The facility will focus particularly on export-oriented denim products, enabling the company to better meet the needs of international markets through higher product quality and innovative design, while also providing more stable delivery capabilities and additional employment opportunities for the local area.

“Qiqi and Xintang Have Grown Together for More Than Three Decades”

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Cao Xiaoqi, Chairman of Qiqi Group, said:

“Qiqi has grown alongside Xintang for more than three decades, witnessing the transformation of the denim industry from traditional manufacturing into an industry characterized by clustering, branding, and internationalization.”

He noted that Xintang’s denim industry is currently accelerating its transformation with intelligent manufacturing as its driving force, supported by branding and green development.

The construction of the new production base represents Qiqi Group’s strategic response to the changing direction of the industry.

The project will introduce advanced equipment and production technologies, develop modern denim production lines, and promote upgrades in automation, digitalization, and intelligent manufacturing. By focusing on export-oriented denim products, Qiqi Group aims to connect more effectively with international markets through improved quality and design, while strengthening delivery capabilities and creating more stable employment opportunities in the region.

Qiqi Group was established in 2019 and has become a key garment export enterprise in the region.

The construction of the Qiqi Intelligent Garment Production Base is not only an upgrade of the company’s own manufacturing capabilities, but also an important step toward deeper integration with the Xintang denim industry ecosystem.

Through closer collaboration with upstream and downstream enterprises and greater resource sharing, the project will help promote the regional industry from “scale-based concentration” toward “integrated and collaborative development.”

Representatives responsible for the project stated that the company will move forward with determination and maintain strong momentum throughout the construction process.

The project team will strictly control construction quality and safety, accelerate project implementation, and work toward completing construction and commencing production as scheduled.
